  • What is Chicken Club?
    Chicken Club is a hassle-free monthly subscription for busy parents who want premium, pasture-raised chicken—guaranteed breasts and a fun mix of cuts, all raised with care at Edwards Family Farms. Our chickens eat a GMO-free, corn- & soy-free diet, so you get the healthiest chicken around. Each box (14–16 lbs) includes a whole chicken, favorite cuts, and a few surprises to keep things interesting. Plus, we send easy recipes and tips to help you make every bite count.
  • How does payment work?
    Once you have signed up for your first box, your card will be charged each month on the 25th to secure your box for the next month.
  • Can I skip a month?
    Yes! You have 4 days until your next payment withdrawal to skip or cancel your next box. Click here to sign into your account and click the skip button underneath your subscription details.
  • How do I cancel my subscription?
    Sign into your account here and click cancel subscription at the bottom of the page.
  • Why does this cost more than grocery store chicken?
    Our chickens are raised with care, not crammed into factory farms. This limits how many we can raise at a time. Pasture-raised meat is naturally better tasting and better for your family, plus you’re supporting a small farm committed to transparency and quality. You can't get that with grocery store chicken.
  • What do the chickens eat?
    Fresh forage daily, bugs, nuts, seeds and whatever else they find in the pasture. Because chickens cannot solely thrive on pasture, we supplement their diet with a non-GMO, corn and soy free feed from our local mill.
  • How much freezer space do I need?
    Our chicken is packed efficiently so each package stacks nicely in your freezer. Whether you have a fridge/freezer, a stand up or chest freezer, each monthly box will store easy.
  • How will I get my chicken and will it stay fresh?
    Once you have signed up for Chicken Club, you will select your desired pickup location. You can choose to pick up: a. On the farm in Nebo (Tuesdays at 6pm) b. From the porch in Candler (Mondays at 5pm) c. At the Marion Tailgate Market when the market is open (Saturdays May-Oct from 10-2)  d. Pickup in Black Mountain (Thursdays at 5:30pm) Each chicken package is frozen to maintain quality and freshness.
  • How much chicken do I get?
    Each box has between 14 and 16 pounds of chicken and always comes with a whole chicken (~3-4 lbs) and at least 1 pack of chicken breasts (4 breasts per pack, ~1.5 lbs).
  • What does an average Chicken Club box include?
    Here's what an average box might look like: 1 whole chicken (~3-4 pounds) 2 packs of boneless/skinless chicken breasts (4 breasts per pack, ~2.5 lbs) 1 pack of drumsticks (10 drums, ~2.5 lbs) 1 packs of chicken livers (~1 lb) 2 packs of chicken thighs (4 thighs per pack, ~2 lbs) 1 half chicken (~2 lbs)
  • How many meals can I expect from each box?
    Depending on your family size, you could get 9-15 meals PER box! Here's a sample box: 1 whole chicken = 2-3 meals 2 packs of boneless/skinless chicken breasts = 2-4 meals 1 pack of drumsticks = 1-2 meals 1 packs of chicken livers = 1 meal (great for your pets too!) 2 packs of chicken thighs = 2-3 meals 1 half chicken = 1-2 meals
  • Can I customize my box?
    We do not offer customization at this time. Rest assured that each box will contain a variety of cuts that are familiar and easy to cook. Plus we'll send along recipes, tips and tricks to get the most out of your box!
  • Which products are guaranteed in every box?
    We guarantee you will receive 1 whole chicken and at least 1 pack of chicken breasts in each box. 1 whole chicken weighs approx. 3-4 lbs 1 pack of breasts weighs approx. 1-1.5 lbs and has 4 breasts per pack
  • When is my card charged?
    Chicken Club subscriptions are charged every month on the 25th. You have until the 21st of each month to modify, skip or cancel your subscription. After the 21st, we will not be able to modify, skip or cancel your subscription and no refunds are offered.
  • When do I get my box?
    Chicken Club boxes are available for pickup from your selected pickup location the first day of each month. For example: If your selected pickup location is Candler Porch Pickup on Mondays, your box will be ready the first Monday of each month. No need to worry about remembering. We'll send an email reminder for pickup!
  • What's the price of Chicken Club?
    Chicken Club is $199 per month recurring on the 25th of each month. You can skip or cancel 4+ days prior to your next billing date.
  • What's the policy for returns or refunds if I'm not satisfied with the quality?
    While we believe you will be 100% satisfied, in the rare case you are not, please reach out to Stacie ASAP.
  • What cuts of meat are available for purchase?
    We have individual cuts, bundle boxes, and bulk shares. We also have a monthly chicken subscription option for guaranteed chicken breasts each month called Chicken Club.
  • Do we raise all of our meat?
    All of our chicken and beef are raised on our farm in Nebo. However, we're excited to share that our farm family is growing! To keep up with the demand for our high-quality pork, we've partnered with a trusted local farm (and friends) that share our values and commitment to raising animals humanely. This means we can continue providing you with the forest-raised pork you love, while staying focused on the care and quality you've come to expect from us. It's a win-win for everyone—more delicious pork for your table and continued support for local farmers!
  • What types of meat do we offer?
    We offer ​chicken, pork, beef and chicken eggs. We also raise meat rabbits and host workshops and classes for doing this on your own.
  • Is our meat organic?
    We do not hold the USDA certification for organic products. However, our animals are rotated on pasture or through the woods and live as they should, mimicking nature. Our chickens are fed a natural diet supplemented with a feed free of GMOs, corn and soy.
  • Do you or do you plan to use mRNA vaccines?
    We do NOT use mRNA vaccines at all. Furthermore, we have no plans to adopt mRNA vaccines and intend to continue this policy both on our Nebo farm and at our trusted partner farms.
  • How is the meat packaged?
    Our meat is vacuum sealed or shrink wrapped and frozen to maintain quality and freshness.
  • Where is the meat processed and packaged?
    We have several processors we know and trust. All of our processors are USDA inspected, including our chicken processor.
  • How do I get my meats?
    You can pickup from any of our locations below: - Farm pickup in Nebo, NC on Tuesdays at 6pm - Porch pickup in Candler, NC on Mondays at 6pm - Pickup spot in Black Mountain, NC on Thursdays at 5:30pm - Farmers markets we attend in season Choose your pickup location when shopping our online farm store.
  • How are individual cuts of meat priced?
    Our meat is priced by the pound. When you order through our online farm store, you'll see an average package price and a per pound price listed for your convenience. Because our meats are priced by the pound, your final total will be calculated once your order is packed. (Slight variation could be, but not limited to +/- $1.00-2.00 per pack of meat)
  • Are there instances when certain meat products might be out of stock?
    Yes. We are a small, independent farm and our products and freezer space is limited. We are continuing to grow every day thanks to you!
  • Do you offer delivery/shipping?
    We do not offer delivery or shipping at this time.
  • Where is our farm located?
    We are located in Nebo, NC - about 45 minutes east of Asheville.
  • Are there customer reviews or testimonials available?

  • Do you take pre-orders?
    On some occasions, but this is only available to our email subscribers. CLICK HERE to join our VIP email list so you can be the first to know when new products are available or back in stock. Be sure to open the emails from me so you do not miss these opportunities!
  • How do I contact you?
    You can send us a message through our contact form here. Email replies typically take 1-2 business days, but often sooner.
  • Can I visit the farm?
    Yes! At this time, we only offer scheduled farm tours. Click here to learn more about visiting our farm. We are not open to the public.
  • Where can I find your meat?
    You can shop our online farm store 24/7 and choose to pickup from the locations below: Mondays at 6pm - Porch pickup in Candler, NC Tuesdays at 6pm - The farm in Nebo, NC Thursdays at 5:30pm - Ingles parking lot in Black Mountain, NC Saturdays at select farmers markets (join our email list for market updates here!)
