Crispy Chicken Skins (Homemade “Chicharrones”)


Ingredients:




Instructions:


  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Hot and fast is the key to that perfect crunch.

  2. Lay the chicken skins flat on a parchment-lined baking sheet. The flatter they are, the crispier they get.

  3. Season lightly with salt and your favorite blend. Don’t go too heavy — the skins bring great flavor on their own.

  4. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping halfway through. You’re looking for golden, bubbly, crispy edges.

  5. Remove and let cool. They’ll crisp even more as they cool down.

  6. Snack immediately… or hide them from the kids and eat them yourself.(No judgment.)



These store great in an airtight container for a couple of days, though honestly… snacks this good rarely make it that long.
