Easy Italian Sausage Meatballs (With a Kick, If You Want It)

Let’s be real—meatballs are one of those meals that feels fancy but is secretly super easy.

Especially when you start with our pasture-raised Italian pork sausage.

We’ve already packed it with all the good stuff—herbs, garlic, fennel—so you barely have to do any work.

This is one of my go-to weeknight dinners when I need something quick, hearty, and kid-approved.

And if you’re cooking for spice-lovers? Swap in our Hot Italian sausage and boom—flavor explosion. 🌶️

Here’s what you need:

How To Make It:

  1. In a bowl, mix sausage, egg, breadcrumbs, parmesan, and oregano until just combined.

  2. Roll into 1.5-inch meatballs (you’ll get about 10–14).

  3. Lightly sear the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat for 2–3 minutes per side. (This step is optional but adds flavor and helps them hold shape.)

  4. Add half the marinara to your crockpot. Place meatballs in gently, then pour the rest of the sauce on top.

  5. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours.

  6. Sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve it up on noodles or whatever your heart desires.

Pro Tip:

Make a double batch and freeze half. Your future self will be so grateful on a crazy Tuesday night.

Whether you go mild or bring the heat with hot Italian, these meatballs are packed with flavor—and love, of course. Because that’s just how we roll here.

Grab your sausage from the online farm store here and give this one a try this week.

You won’t be sorry (but your freezer might ask for more room).
